Photography & Curation by Mette Holm. From a very early age I have been in love with horses. I am sure many of riders are where they are today for the very same reason. While my competition days are long past, my passion and love for these athletes is as strong as ever. Sitting ringside, shooting for Spowart/Holm an image started repeating itself with every horse that passed. I was there to photograph horse and rider, capturing that special bond. Soon it was more than just rider and horse. The image repeating itself in my mind was same image I remember seeing as young girl. The strength, beauty and grace of all of these horses. I immediately wanted to capture it. The images in this collection, are literally pictures from my past self. That young girl who knew, but didn't know why, that she wanted to ride.
